Zach is a satirist/filmmaker from Marin County, CA. At a young age he unearthed a passion for theater, filmmaking and the comedy of Eddie Izzard. He eventually wrote his first full-length play and produced it with a fog machine in his high school hallway. He found the process enlightening and ended up writing and producing three more plays while attending Boston University and another off-broadway following graduation. At the time, he also found a job at Denis Leary and Jim Serpico's comedy production and management company Apostle New York.
Eventually, he moved back to Los Angeles where he continued to write and create, focusing now primarily on film. After a few years of finding his feet in a new city, PAing, collaborating on speed film fests and various other platforms, Zach joined 21 Laps Entertainment as director/producer Shawn Levy's personal assistant. Around the same time, he joined Nightpantz sketch collective where he has written and directed a number of award-winning sketch comedy videos, collaborating often with writer/producer Jen McCartney and wife Tracey McClain.
Currently, Zach will be directing another run of his and Tracey's play "Happy Hour" during 2018's summer Hollywood Fringe Festival.
